About Us
Protecting Property, People, and the Environment—Together
Lake Area Waste Water Association (LAWWA) is a 501(c)(12) not-for-profit member cooperative founded in 2010 with a mission to deliver experienced, safe, and affordable wastewater solutions across Missouri. We serve more than 2,700 households, operate over 50 wastewater treatment facilities, and continue to expand throughout six counties and beyond.
As a cooperative utility, we are built around partnership. Our Members are homeowners, homeowner associations, and small businesses who rely on us for utility management, infrastructure support, compliance testing, and 24/7 emergency service.

Committed to Clean Water and Community Health
Our work goes beyond pipes and permits. LAWWA uses environmentally responsible technologies to construct, maintain, and rehabilitate wastewater systems that keep communities clean and livable. We ensure every system meets or exceeds local, state, and federal regulations—while also educating Members and the public on how to care for water resources and reduce pollution.
From on-site treatment systems to utility management and infrastructure security, we’re proud to help protect Missouri’s environment and the health of its people.
